Condominium Brooklyn NY

Winner: 2007 Brooklyn Building Award, multi-family housing.

I designed this project in collaboration with Peter Guthrie of Office 606 Design & Construction, and assisted with contracting, construction management and aspects of development.

Known as “L3”, it is a 12-unit condominium in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, completed and sold in 2006. It includes the renovation of a former convent, and the construction of two new buildings in vacant lots on either side.

The two new buildings were set back from the street to form entrance courts, preserve the feel of the street and give greater privacy to the new apartments.

The top floor units of the new buildings are duplexes, with front and rear roof decks.

The three ground floor units are also duplexes. The rear yard has been excavated to bring light to the lowest level and allow access to the terraced rear yard.

Interior finishes include Ipe wood floors, Douglas Fir cabinetry and Caesarstone counters.

I created the poster for the open house, representing the project and indicating the apartments.
